Once again Coney's roving eye Capt_Nemo zooms into one of Coney's crevices and finds something else askew. Here it looks like the Childs building which is a Coney landmark has been in some careless way deformed. Though it doesn't look permanent it sure doesn't respect the aesthetics of the already fragile building. Though, we won't mention who is the most likely culprit, which is a particular contractor who has been working on the Childs building for the last couple of years, we will say 'shame on them'. It looks like previously there must have been some sort of exhaust opening (see image below) which the careless contractor used for access to run electrical wires through (see image above).
Hopefully it is temporary. And it probably is used to service the Dreamland Roller Rink.

That is, quite literally, criminal.
It's a roof scupper and downspout, not anything electrical- poorly located, but judging from the ghosts in the lower photo, it was probably there long before the building was landmarked...
