'Life On Mars' Lurks In Coney Island

A remake of the BBC television series, "Life on Mars" was being filmed in Coney Island yesterday. According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB.com) the production stars Harvey Keitel , Michael Imperioli , and Gretchen Mol . The show is described as: this genre-bending crime drama/buddy comedy/sci-fi fantasy revolves around modern-day police detective Sam Tyler, who awakens after a near-fatal car accident to discover that he has been thrown back through time to 1973. Which asks the question; will they somehow pay homage to 70's Coney Island and digitally recreate some of the old rides that stood then like the Thunderbolt, and Tornado.
