Coney Island in 1919: Crowded, and Flirtation Free

Pardon Me For Asking has dug up real gem from a 1919 issue of the New York Times: "200,000 AT CONEY ISLAND – Policewomen, on Duty for the First Time, Find Little to Do."

The article goes on to explain that the policewomen's "task was to keep an eye open for flirtations."
