Community Information Session on Nov. 19th

On the same day that the city announced it's new zoning plan, a letter was sent out jointly by the president of the city's Coney Island Development Corporation and the chairperson of Community Board 13, announcing a " 'Community Information Session' on the proposed Coney Island zoning framework." According to the letter (which can be read in full on the Coney Island USA message board), purpose of the meeting is to begin "critically important community dialogue on the proposal and start to secure neighborhood feedback and input."

It's very likely that the 'session' will have more to do with the city advocating it's proposal than with securing community input. Nonetheless, it will still provide a good opportunity to hear about the plan straight from the horse's mouth.
