More Word on Bloomberg's Upcoming Announcement

City Planning Commissioner Amanda Burden gave an indication of what Bloomberg's much anticipated Coney Island announcement will entail today at a conference sponsored by the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research.

The
Gotham Gazette article on the event said that...:

According to Burden, the mayor soon will announce a plan to preserve the amusement park, making it a year-round attraction, and coupling it with "entertainment and housing in the right location."

This sounds like a step in the right direction, but we'll have to wait until Bloomberg's makes the actual announcement (presumably next week) to see what this plan actually entails.
