I used to go to the aquarium just to see Ayveq. The first time I went there he interacted with me for half an hour and I just fell in love with him. I even made a t-shirt about him. He will be deeply missed.

This is such sad news. Like the commentor above, I also fell in love with Ayveq. I saw him for the first time this past February when I brought a friend who was visiting with me to the aquarium. Because it was the middle of winter and a Tuesday, my friend and I practically had the whole place to ourselves. The highpoint of our visit was definitely Ayveq. We spent a lot of time with him in the indoor viewing area where the big windows that looked in on him under water allowed us to interact with him. He was so darn cute, friendly, and intelligent. He sure loved people!
I am so saddened that I will not be able to see him again as I'd been planning to.
I hope to return to the aquarium some day soon and find that his son inherited his daddy's sparkling personality.
