The Brooklyn Daily Eagle Continues to Show Love for Coney

The Brooklyn Daily Eagle has been doing a phenomenal job of covering Coney Island, regulatrly providing everything from historical trivia to in depth coverage of the current development issues. It is not surprising, then, that the redevelopment of Coney Island was featured prominently in the paper's recent recap of the top stories of 2007:

The much-anticipated renovation and expansion plans for Coney Island were also unveiled. They included the addition of condos, shops and the city's first new rollercoaster since the Cyclone that would help make the new Astroland a year-round amusement park.

We still have to wait and see if these plans come to fruition, of course. It's pretty certain than, whatever happens, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle will be covering it.
